Higher Education MEd

3 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Toronto St George

Program Overview

A masters degree in higher education is a post graduate degree program that is designed to offer individuals a general understanding of higher education. The program allows the individuals enrolled in the program the flexibility of probing deeply into their areas of interest within the wider higher education field. The program provides the students with the skills that should enable them to critically assess the change processes that happen at all levels of higher education. Taking the masters degree in higher education takes a disciplinary perspective. Different disciplinary theories and concepts are taught to the students; discussions and analysis of change processes form the main coursework of the program. The change processes may originate either from the outside or the inside of traditional institutions or the national frames.
