Program Overview

The MScF Thesis-Based program is a research-oriented Degree designed to give graduates a firm foundation in the process of scientific inquiry. Research is often undertaken in one or more of the biophysical forest sciences, but social science research may also be undertaken. Research projects are designed jointly by the student and a faculty member who serves as the student's Faculty Supervisor.

Degree students must have a fCourseyear bachelor's Degree or its equivalent with at least second class standing (B) based on their last 20 half courses or equivalent, English Language Requirement:Canadian Academic English Language Assessment or CAEL CE-Minimum Score: 60, Cambridge Academic English C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency-Minimum Score: 176, IELTS-Minimum Score: 6.5 no individual score less than 6.0, Michigan English Language Assessment Battery Minimum Score: 85, PTE Academic-Minimum Score: 58 no component score less than 50, TOEFL-Internet Based Test iBT: 80 no component score less than 19, Minimum Score for Computer Based Test cBT: 213 no component score less than 17, Minimum Score for Paper Based Test pBT when Speaking is present: 550 no component score less than 50
