Program Overview

The MHE program is designed to be completed in four semesters of full time study, and consists of three options: 1) thesis, 2) non-thesis, capstone project, and 3) non-thesis research papers. The Master of Health Ethics degree program will help students develop the skills needed to identify and analyze ethical issues in health care and in the life sciences, and to propose solutions to these issues as they arise in the clinical, research, and policy contexts.

Bachelor's degree (minimum 75% average) and an undergraduate philosophy course with substantial ethics content (e.g., Philosophy 2230: Moral Philosophy at Memorial University).IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.5, with at least a band 6 in reading and writing. TOEFL: A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, or 79 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading and writing, and not less than 17 in listening and speaking.
