Program Overview

The program also places an emphasis on contemporary theories and methods in the study of religion. Developing excellent research and writing skills is one of our most important outcomes. These skills are further honed as students have the opportunity to write a research essay that focuses on a particular religious tradition or phenomenon.Students will have the opportunity to work as research or teaching assistants for Queen's professors. Because we do not have a PhD program at Queen's, we are able to devote all our resources and attention to MA students and can give them research and teaching opportunities that other institutions cannot match.

"A relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized university with minimum average of B+ (77-79%, 3.3/4.3 GPA), a copy of transcripts (official or unofficial) showing completion of, or current enrolment in university level courses (or equivalents).Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their previous academic experience has provided the ""enabling competencies"" as set out by the CPA Canada. a minimum TOEFL total score of 600 (paper-based) or TOEFL iBT minimum scores of: writing (24/30); speaking (22/30); reading (22/30); listening (20/30), for a total of 88/122"
