Program Overview

The MA program in Economics contains rigorous training in microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory and econometrics, as well as elective courses in a wide range of applied fields. Students can also pursue a concentration in Financial Economics. The Internship Placement Program gives students an opportunity to apply the analytical skills acquired during their studies in the public service, private sector or non-governmental organizations. Carleton also has an exchange agreement with the University of Ottawa, which permits our students to enroll in one of their courses (with permission) without paying extra fees.

4-year (honours) bachelor s degree, B+ / First class division in your major subjects, B- or better overall, Official Transcript , TOEFL ibT of 86 (20 in reading and listening; 22 in speaking and writing), CAEL of 70, IELTS (Academic) of 6.5 IELTS (min 6.0 in each band), PTE Academic of 60 overall (min 60 in each Communicative Skill)
