Program Overview

The Master of Gender Studies degree allows students to critically examine at an advanced level how gender shapes our identities, our social interactions and our world. Students will incorporate into their study frameworks for thinking about power relations and the ways those relations are shaped and challenged by intersecting constructions of gender, race, class, sexuality, age, ability and nationality.

Additional Information & Requirements

Bachelor's degree (minimum second class honours) in an appropriate area of study; applicants may be required to completed one or more undergraduate course(s), including Gender Studies 4000. IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.5, with at least a band 6 in reading and writing. TOEFL: A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, or 79 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading and writing, and not less than 17 in listening and speaking.
