It is a four-in-one scientific research and teaching institution engaged in public policy research, consulting, development and training. . Institutionally, the Public Policy Research Institute is a school-level institution that not only links to the School of Public Affairs, but also operates relatively independently. The institute has a research team composed of more than 30 full-time and part-time researchers including 22 full-time researchers. The president of the academy is Dr. Chen Zhenming, a distinguished professor of the Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education.
