The School of Journalism and Communication was founded as the Film and Broadcasting Special Program at the university (formerly Jinling University) in 1936. It was the first educational institution of film and broadcasting in China. the school has worked hard to nurture an academic environment for communication and collaboration in communication research in China and around the world.
