Department of Anthropology and Ethnology of Xiamen University is the only anthropology teaching and research institution in China that has a complete discipline system of the Trinity Department of Anthropology, Institute of Anthropology, and Museum of Anthropology. The two national first-level societies of the Chinese Anthropology Society and the Baiyue Ethnic History Society are also located in Xiamen University.
