Program Overview

For the moment, doctoral and master programs in Wuhan University consist of exegetical Study of Confucian Classics (Jingxue ), Study of Masters Theories (Zixue ), Study of Historical Classics (Shibu ), Study of Classical Literature (Jibu ) and Study of Buddhism and Daoism. And there are two main features: First, it is multidisciplinary. Break disciplinary boundaries of literature, history and philosophy in research directions and faculty members, and preliminarily divide them into five directions, including literature, history, philosophy, religion and art on the basis of subject characteristics. Influential experts are going to be master and doctoral students prospective supervisors, and we also plan to invite famous domestic and overseas experts to join this doctoral program and co-guide our students, who are also encouraged to go out and try something new. Second, it emphasizes the productive interpretation of Chinese Classics
