Program Overview

Biotechnology is a dynamically developing field. Due to the breadth and importance of biotechnologies and their rapid development, however, high demands are placed on the scientific and research background, intellectual level, level of theoretical and professional preparation of workers in biotechnological operations. The follow-up Master's program in Agricultural Biotechnology is a direct continuation of the Bachelor's study program in Agricultural Biotechnology implemented at ZF JU. During their studies, students acquire knowledge of molecular biology, genomics, genetic engineering, plant, animal and food microbiology. By choosing subjects, they further focus on the issues of special genetics and plant and animal breeding, biotechnological methods used in plant and animal breeding.
