Program Overview

Graduates of the program will acquire a comprehensive set of general professional knowledge in the field of using new knowledge of quantitative genetics and animal breeding. They are introduced to biotechnological procedures that connect the procedures of quantitative genetics together with molecular genetics and informatics into integrated systems of animal genetic evaluation. Part of the expertise is working with large data sets from performance control and their evaluation. Based on the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, graduates are able to propose specific procedures and goals for the breeding of individual populations of domestic and farm animals.
