Program Overview

Students are educated primarily for the needs of the Central Agricultural Inspection and Testing Institute, where they are employed in a variety of plant medicine positions, from rank-and-file workers to workers in central diagnostic laboratories. In the first semester, theoretical subjects predominate, from the second semester, practical subjects focused on individual groups of harmful organisms in specific crops and on individual methods of plant protection take over. Graduates have practical knowledge of field diagnostics of commonly occurring and economically important disorders, diseases and pests of plants in various stages of development, including harmful organisms in forestry. They practically manage laboratory diagnostics, they can design appropriate protection procedures, they know the legal regulations in plant protection.
