Program Overview

The goal of studying the field of Teaching German Language and Literature for Secondary Schools is to comprehensively prepare future secondary school teachers for the full and competent performance of their profession. This presupposes, on the one hand, the consolidation and development of the necessary knowledge at the level of practical language competences, especially their deepening in the field of professional philological reflection of linguistic and literary problems in a wider cultural, social and historical context. At the same time, detailed theoretical knowledge and practical competence in the pedagogic and didactic field are imparted, enabling the graduate to work effectively in the teaching profession.
