Program Overview

Mathematics is the queen of sciences. Without the knowledge of mathematics, there would be no great technical invention, houses, power plants, means of transport would not be constructed, medical devices, mobile phones, computers, navigation devices or other information technologies would be developed. Together with the development of computer technology, mathematical models make it possible to predict the weather or the spread of epidemics and pests, to describe and understand the conduction of impulses along the nerve fiber, gene interactions and their influence on the emergence of diseases or the emergence and development of human resistance to antibiotics, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of possible countermeasures against some from these processes.
