Masters in Applied Mechanics Calculations and Design of Structures

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of West Bohemia

Program Overview

This specialization is part of the subsequent academically focused master's study programApplied Mechanics. The specialization is focused on the area of technical calculations with design elements, while modern numerical calculation methods, such as the finite element method, the finite volume method or the boundary element method, are used in the design and optimization of structures. Emphasis in the design of structures is placed on both static and dynamic calculations and dimensioning in terms of limit states. Space is also dedicated to calculations using modern materials, such as composite materials, as well as machine construction and construction methods using computer technology.
