Program Overview

The composition of the program is based on the traditional model of philological studies focused on translation. It contains subjects of a common translational basis (Theory and History of Translation, Czech stylistics, Computer tools for translation practice), as well as a wide range of disciplinary subjects in linguistics and literary studies supplemented by specialized optional subjects. Emphasis is placed on the graduate's practical language competences, which constitute significant added value in relation to the labor market, as they significantly expand the graduate's employment opportunities outside the field of translation.
