Program Overview

The main goal of the study is to supplement the students' bachelor's bohemian education at the master's level, which will enable them to work in relevant positions in accordance with the graduate's profile, as well as to follow up with further studies of the doctoral degree. The study prepares the graduate for activities requiring highly specialized work with language and literature (text) in various areas. Emphasis is placed on the systematization and addition of bachelor's knowledge in the field of the contemporary Czech language on all language plans, especially with a focus on the complexity of the approach to the text and on current trends, as well as on methodology; in diachronic linguistics, the necessary historical context is provided for the knowledge of contemporary Czech as a literary language and an Indo-European language; the graduate is then able to assess the dynamics of language development and relate it to changing communication needs
