Program Overview

The study provides education focused on the biological, ecological and environmental aspects of ecosystems, the emphasis is on ecosystem management and the revitalization and restoration of disturbed ecosystems. The program is guaranteed by the Department of Ecosystem Biology in cooperation with institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and other workplaces, including foreign ones. The research focuses on the analysis and evaluation of various natural phenomena and processes in the landscape, especially the impact of disturbances on ecosystems, the development of biodiversity of plants and animals as a response to changes in land use and landscape structure, habitat modeling or the evaluation of the importance of greenery ( green structures ) for biodiversity and quality of life in built-up areas
