Program Overview

Studying the Archeology program at the master's level develops the knowledge and skills needed to become an archaeologist. The study is designed so that the student develops his theoretical and methodological knowledge and cultivates his analytical skills. In addition to the theoretical and methodological basis, the study focuses on obtaining a broad overview of contemporary European archeology and key scientific topics and approaches (including an overview of the development of prehistory, early history and the Middle Ages in Europe). Emphasis is placed on preparing for the presentation of results in oral and written form, including publication outputs. A high level of study is ensured by a wide selection from a wide range of archaeological subjects and subjects with an interdisciplinary overlap. Further professional training is ensured by an extensive offer of specialized technical subjects.
