Program Overview

The follow-up master's degree in archival studies prepares university-qualified experts for specialized and management positions in archival practice and file service. The goal of the study is a thorough understanding of the issues of pre-archival care and file services, processing of the most important fund groups and making archival sources available for research purposes (primarily in the form of creating metadata for digitized archives). Students will further deepen their knowledge of the archive network of the Czech Republic and selected neighboring states and develop their knowledge of modern diplomacy and paleography, modern administration and recent history
