Program Overview

In addition to intensive courses in grammar, conversation, and reading, students record lecture cycles . They will familiarize them in depth with political developments in the region (changes in institutions and ideologies, the impact of regimes on society), with selected topics from cultural anthropology (family relations, anthropology of language, gender), with various aspects of culture incl. popular culture (science fiction literature, martial arts, film) and the current state of religion (local cults in Taiwan, religious situation in the PRC).
