Studying the master's field of Literature and Intercultural Communication opens up students the opportunity to understand the changing position of literature in cultural communication and to explore its complex strategies and tools. The program is unique in Czech philological-cultural university studies in that, in accordance with current trends, such as the interdisciplinarity of science and studies, together with the demand for flexibility of graduates, it connects literary studies, translation studies, intermedia, adaptation, visual and cultural studies. It reflects the dynamics of media and ways of cultural communication, as represented by interactions between language and cultural systems, the growing preference for visual representation of reality over verbal in various discourses, and the shift to multimedia representations, especially artistic forms
