You learn how to analyze the financial condition of a business and to create a basis for making financial decisions based on public accounts and annual reports. For this reason, for example, you will be able to value a business, calculate its potential future earnings potential, or judge its ability to create value for its shareholders. This will include enable you to assess the risk and potential return by buying shares in a company, or investigating whether it is ripe for sale or acquisition. Through knowledge of accounting and financial management, you will also learn how to design and use systems to measure the company's activities and costs. This way you will be able to identify internal problems and find appropriate solutions.
