Program Overview

The Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering SGM aims to train high-level executives with a perfect command of the scientific and technological aspects of the development, implementation, control and monitoring of materials, capable of integrating into an industrial environment or continuing in doctorate. All classes of materials (metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, geomaterials) are covered, whether in the form of powders, massive parts, thin layers, coatings, nanomaterials and multi-materials, in lessons that combine chemists and materials physicists, but also specialists in physico-chemical processes and mechanical engineering. In addition, 20% of the lessons are provided by speakers from industry or large organizations.

Candidates in M1: Recruitment for the Master 1 in Materials Science and Engineering is carried out on examination of the application files, Licenses recommended for admission are the License in Chemistry and the License in Physics-Chemistry, Candidates in M2 MECTS: For applications outside the option, an M1 course in the field of Materials is strongly recommended, In continuing education: The diploma is accessible by means of the Validation of Acquired Experience and by the means of Validation of Professional Acquired, Contact the Continuing Education and Apprenticeship Mission, Common Application/Online Application, Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Official high school transcripts, English proficiency results to be provided if the applicant's native language is not English: TOEFL: minimum score of 79, IELTS:minimum score of 6, Duolingo, or TOEIC score of at least 750 is required, French language requirements proficiency Level B1/B2 for Bachelor students, 2 Letters of recommendation, Statement of purpose, Copy of valid Passport, Photographs, Health Insurance
