Program Overview

The objective of the Agrosciences, Environment, Territories, Landscape, Forestry mention is to train specialists with a high level of scientific skills in the fields of the management of natural and agricultural, rural or peri-urban spaces as well as those of the management of natural resources. The training emphasizes an integrative vision, both multidisciplinary and multi-scale. Indeed, it is about training students who will be interested in the intersections between agricultural production, environment, land management and global changes. The training gives an important place to modeling, to its theoretical, mathematical and statistical foundations, as well as to other research methods (experimental, participatory, survey) allowing, combined, to better understand complex agricultural, forestry and ecological systems. The students trained should be able to mobilize appropriate scientific approaches to help address the major problems of resource management, particularly ecological (from maintaining biodiversity to controlling invasive species), food (from undernourishment to agricultural production methods). ecological), linked to the quality of the resource (from the fragility of soils to atmospheric pollution) and linked to spaces (from the management of landscapes and forests to global climate change), today and tomorrow. The first year of the master's degree addresses major societal issues relating to the aforementioned fields, provides general disciplinary additions to deal with them in the fields of natural, biotechnical, and social sciences.
