Characterize the constituent elements of the Earth minerals, rocks, mountain ranges, sedimentary basins, deposits of mineral and energy resources, terrestrial envelopes by the methods of geology cartography, field geology, structural geology, petrology, sedimentology, paleontology , metallogeny, geophysics seismology, gravimetry, magnetism, remote sensing and geochemistry major elements, trace elements, stable and radioactive isotopes, geochronology to identify geological processes and reconstruct the history of the Earth and of interactions geosphere-biosphere.
Students must hold a Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences. However, students holding Licenses in Physics, Chemistry or Biology may also be admitted by derogation depending on their academic record, motivation and professional project. For access to level M2 UT3: validation of the TG course of M1 STPE. For access to M2 level (students outside UT3): validation of a course equivalent to the TG course of M1 STPE of UT3.
