Program Overview

The planning professions then opened up to the themes of ecology, in order to complete an approach more traditionally oriented towards geography. At the same time, new tools are ramping up, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Databases (BD). These tools are now experiencing great development with the provision of an exploding volume of data via satellite images, aerial photographs, field observations enriched by participatory science. Territory managers are required to master these tools and appropriate these documents with a view to supporting public policies and helping with decision-making.
