This training aims to train students with significant multidisciplinary skills, biology, computer science and mathematics , necessary to work in the field of bioinformatics but also in the emerging field of systems biology . The rapid development of technologies in the field of life sciences and the generalization of global approaches in the analysis of living organisms are generating an increased demand in private and public laboratories for young executives or researchers with an integrated vision based on knowledge and skills of several disciplinary fields. Due to its multidisciplinary teaching (computer science, mathematics, biology and bioinformatics) and its targeted sectoral coloring, this mention has only one course, Bioinformatics and Systems Biology.

Bachelor of Life Sciences, Computer science degree. Within these Licenses, the interdisciplinary courses in Life Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, such as the BIOMIP type course of the Life Sciences license at Paul Sabatier University, are more particularly suitable for pursuing this Masters degree. A first selection will be made on the application files on the following criteria: For students of Life Sciences Licenses, a good basic level is desired in: genetics/genomics/molecular biology, mathematics and statistics, bioanalysis and/or bioinformatics. For students in Bachelor of Computer Science a good basic level is desired in: IT algorithms, programming, mathematics statistics, modeling, basic knowledge in Biology, preferably molecular, showing their awareness of this discipline. After this first selection, an interview will be proposed to the students whose files have been selected.
