Masters in History and Anthropology of Law

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

Paris West University Nanterre La Defense

Program Overview

This training, unparalleled in France, provides young jurists with a degree in positive law with training that prepares them for the cultural confrontations that globalization presupposes. Three main axes are envisaged: the establishment of European community law based on national laws of divergent traditions (primarily Roman law and common law); the questioning of the rights and religions of several Eastern countries; the major role played by China in international relations. The historical, anthropological and religious substrates of several European and Eastern laws are compared to better understand the spirit and the logics of each other.
