Program Overview

The "Archeology and Archaeological Sciences" master's degree at Paris Nanterre University covers all areas of ancient and medieval archeology in the West and in the central and eastern Mediterranean. It favors interdisciplinary approaches (archaeometry, art history, study of texts, history). The training allows the student to become familiar with the major axes of current research in archeology relating to the study of structures and movables and to new methods of prospecting, recording, characterization, analysis and representation of data. A large place is given to the applications of the digital revolution at all stages of archaeological investigation.
