Masters in Psychology Clinical psychology of child, adolescent and family development

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Caen Normandy

Program Overview

"The master's degree in psychology, ""clinical course of child, adolescent and family development"", aims to train competent psychologists in the assessment, management and support of a wide range of issues (biological, cognitive, affective, interpersonal) from a dual developmental and ecosystem perspective. The theoretical frame of reference of developmental psychopathology emphasizes the origin and evolution of individual life trajectories which, depending on the situation, will be a question of preventing, supporting, influencing or compensating. The ecosystem perspective, closely linked to the previous one, insists on the need to think about the problems of people in an ecological way, as the product of the interaction of many risk and protective factors, operating at the psychological level as well as at the biological or social levels. This approach, called ""bio-psycho-social"", is particularly relevant in the hospital setting, in the field of child protection and in the support of the handicapped."
