The part-time Master's programme "Urban Interior Development" imparts competencies and interdisciplinary knowledge for initiating and implementing processes with which an existing demand for residential and commercial areas can be met through the (re)use of inner-city, already developed areas, in order to be able to dispense with the use of outdoor areas (usually agricultural and forestry areas). In addition, successful inner development avoids structural vacancies and ensures the use of existing infrastructure, so that investments in inner development are also economically worthwhile in the long term
