Program Overview

The master program Performance Studies is a scientific and artistic degree program. He combines cultural and social science reflection, artistic practice and aesthetic education in dance and theater, choreography and directing. The study concept is based on a broad concept of performance that encompasses theatrical practices and poetics in social, cultural, political and artistic fields. The aim of the study is to understand performance concepts from social, cultural and educational theory as well as aesthetic perspectives and at the same time to acquire competences for a reflected artistic practice and mediation.

University entrance qualification or equivalent, Benefits that correspond to a bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 credit points (CP), a proof of a special artistic ability , sufficient knowledge of the German language, possibly proven by the German Language Examination for University Entrance of Foreign Applicants (DSH), the German as a Foreign Language Test (TestDaF) or an equivalent examination, CV, Transcript of records, TOEFL ibT of 92, C1 Advanced of 180 , letter of motivation, English skills , IELTS of 6.5
