Program Overview

Business informatics is a relatively young discipline that represents an interdisciplinary discipline between business administration, computer science and technology. Together with users and programmers, business IT specialists develop information systems as a tool to solve problems in companies and organizations.The Master's degree in Business Informatics comprises 120 ECTS , which can be completed within 4 semesters of the standard period of study (including the final thesis).Extensive options allow you to set priorities in order to create ideal conditions for a career in practice or research and to do justice to your own personal interests. In the compulsory elective area of business informatics/computer science, there are a total of five main areas to choose from, three of which are completed with 15 ECTS each. Four of the focal points are based on the research focal points of the business informatics subjectareas.Inn addition to the two compulsory elective areas of business administration and business informatics/computer science, a two-semester practical project is completed in one of the business informatics specializations. As part of this project, solutions for complex problems are developed in the team - often in cooperation with well-known companies.
