Osnabrueck University

Program Overview

Building on the first professional qualification, the master's program imparts in-depth specialist knowledge and enables the use of scientific methods and knowledge for difficult and complex IT problems both in practice and in research. The master's degree program in computer science enables students to specialize in their own individual area with its very large compulsory elective area. The course contents are both research-oriented and have a strong practical relevance and are based on the research priorities of the Institute for ComputerScience.Inn the master's program, a two-semester research and development project is offered in project groups of eight to ten students. Not only is the respective IT content intensively processed and integrated, but at the same time the social skills essential in IT are deepened ( e.g. cooperation in project teams). The staff-student ratio at Osnabr ck IT is very good and the contact with the teachers is therefore very close. The chances of working on research topics as part of projects, theses or assistant positions are correspondingly high.
