In information systems technology, the focus is on the design of highly specialized hardware-software systems of high complexity. Corresponding systems can be found, for example, in mobile phones or in luxury cars. These embedded systems and their complex software have little in common with standard PCs . Software knowledge and in-depth technical knowledge are required for these systems in equal measure. Both are taught in the Information Systems Engineering course.
