Program Overview

In this course you will deal with the structure of matter, the properties and applications of solid materials. The focus is on the formation and the atomic structure of the materials as well as the structure dependency of the properties and the application of crystalline and amorphous substances. In accordance with this orientation towards inorganic solids, minerals and mineral analogues, the course has a connecting function between chemistry, physics, earth and material sciences. It is particularly interdisciplinary and strongly research-oriented.
