Program Overview

"The master's program ""Shipbuilding and Marine Technology"" prepares graduates for scientific work in the fields of shipbuilding, marine technology and related mechanical engineering disciplines through in-depth and extensive engineering, mathematical and scientific knowledge. They have a critical awareness of recent findings in their discipline, on the basis of which they can act responsibly in their professional activity and in society. Six thematic specializations are possible through the compulsory elective modules: design, construction and strength, fluid dynamics and ship theory, ship mechanical engineering, marine technology and planning and production. The professional activity of the graduates can be either system-oriented, e.g. B. in the design of a ship or a marine installation, or in specific areas such as g. the hydrodynamics or the strength of the steel structures"
