Program Overview

The master's program Romance Literatures is dedicated to current literary, media and cultural studies issues of various Romansh literatures. Within the Master's program there is the possibility of a comparative orientation with the choice of a second Romance language and literature (French, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese). Students also have the opportunity to focus on a Romance language and its literature. Important research areas of the study program are the literature of the Renaissance and the 18th century as well as the literature, culture and media of Latin America.

A degree in a bachelor's degree program from the University of Hamburg in a Romance subject or in a comparable degree program at another university, Proven language proficiency in a Romance language (Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese), CV, Transcript of records, TOEFL ibT of 92, C1 Advanced of 180 , letter of motivation, English skills , IELTS of 6.5
