Program Overview

Global environmental change and the scarcity of natural resources pose many challenges to our society. Research into the Earth system provides important contributions to resource management and researches problem solving in areas such as petroleum and raw materials geology as well as materials science. The master program Geosciences offers a nationwide unique interdisciplinary education with the possibility of specialization in geology, soil science and mineralogy. On the one hand, it focuses on research in the terrestrial, marine and atmospheric geosciences, and on the other hand on the needs of the labor market at home and abroad.
