Program Overview

The Master's programme Molecular Ecology combines two focus areas of the University of Bayreuth: Ecology and the Environmental Sciences und Molecular Biosciences. The focus is on the molecular mechanisms with which microorganisms, plants, and animals adapt to biotic and abiotic environmental factors, as well as the molecular interactions between organisms. In laboratory and field studies, the practice-oriented course of studies conveys ecological interrelationships ranging from the genetic basis to evolutionary effects on complex ecosystems.
