Program Overview

"Surface sealing, problems with contaminated sites, agricultural intensification, climate change or implementation of the Water Framework Directive: the environmental areas of soil and water are playing an increasingly important role in all of these issues. In particular, questions at the interface of both environmental areas, e.g. B. the groundwater protection or the remediation of contaminated sites, increasing importance.The Master's course ""Soil, Water, Contaminated Sites"" in Osnabr ck is unique in Germany. It is offered by the University's Institute of Geography and the University's Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture in cooperation, supported by Environmental Systems Science and Geoinformatics.Outstanding features of the MBGA are practical and project-oriented events, research-oriented events and field and laboratory internships. In addition, the course is characterized by very good supervision: As part of a mentoring program, a lecturer is available to the students as a mentor for the entire duration of their studies, providing advice and support."
