Program Overview

Building on their outstanding and internationally recognised strengths in African Studies, the Universit t Bayreuth in Germany, the Universit Bordeaux Montaigne in France, and the Universidade do Porto in Portugal, have developed a Joint Master Programme in the framework of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree. The European Interdisciplinary Master African Studies will spearhead innovative approaches in teaching African Studies.

Bachelor programme from a recognised university in the field of Social Sciences or Humanities African Languages and Cultures, History, Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, Geography, Development Studies, Political Science, Public Administration or other studies related to the Social Science or convincing application of other academic disciplines, A very good command of English (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR: C1. All applicants except native speakers and students coming from or having an under graduate degree from one of the listed countries have to submit an IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 95 or Cambridge C2 Proficiency certificate, Two letters of recommendation, A list of further required documents can be found here, Application and aptitude assessment process written application and interview
