Program Overview

The departments for economics, law, social sciences and cultural studies of Goethe University have joined their forces to create a new interdisciplinary M.A. program in Modern East Asian Studies MEAS. In a truly interdisciplinary sense, the biennial M.A. program accommodates both students with a B.A. degree in Asia related cultural studies, and students with a B.A. degree in economics, law, history or social sciences.

Bachelor s degree or comparable degree in a similar or related subject, if you are not already enrolled at Goethe-University Frankfurt:a university entrance qualification e.g. A-Levels, certified copy of your Bachelor's degree certificate, if the Bachelor's degree has not yet been completed: a transcript of records or equivalent document listing the content of the study programme and average grade, letter of recommendation from your supervisor, proof of English language skills, CV , Letter of Motivation, if the first degree was obtained at an international higher education institution:certificate of German language skills, need to submit other documents depending on your country of origin and your previous education, Proof of English language skills by certificates or another equivalent form of proof recognised by the examination office (C1), e.g. TOEFL (internet-based: 110 points; computer-based: 270 points; paper-based: 637 points) or IELTS (overall score 7.0).
