Program Overview

The East European studies are a research-oriented, interdisciplinary Master's program, which provides regional knowledge of East Central Europe, Southeastern Europe, the Baltic Sea Region, as well as Russia and other successor states of the USSR. The curriculum includes culture (especially language, literature, music and ethnology) as well as history, politics and law. The interdisciplinary approach enables students to get to know the scientific working methods of the participating disciplines and to expand their methodological skills.
