Program Overview

The North American Studies Master's course is a joint interdisciplinary course in history, political science and American studies. Through a broad spectrum of specialist and methodological knowledge, you will gain a deep understanding of the social, cultural, literary and political history and present of the United States of America and Canada. In addition, you will acquire skills and competencies for the scientific analysis of the cultural, historical and socio-political complexity of North America, whereby you should also acquire the competence to place these characteristics in a global context.
