Program Overview

The master's program German Studies: Language-Literature-Media you acquire the competence to independently develop and assess processes of mediation in language and literature and to convey the knowledge you have acquired to society. Here you work - with individual supervision - in the greatest possible independence and in cooperation with other students to achieve the goals you have set yourself. The course gives them a broad international orientation and a clear focus on a future career in science or professional practice.

Completed bachelors degree in German studies teaching degree or 2-subject Bachelors degree in Koblenz or comparable degrees at other universities; individual examination possible, A letter of motivation, Bachelor degree with a CGPA above 65%, B or better, 2.5 or better in the German grading scheme, prove English skills by a TOEFL or IELTS test, English language skills are required at the level of B2, which means that a TOEFL result of 550 paper based / 213 computer based / 79 - 80 internet based, a IELTS 6,5 points, or higher are mandatory, German programs require German language skills DSH, level 2 or TestDAF, level 4 - a Goethe certificate or other language tests
