Program Overview

The master's program in Neo-Greek Studies is a study program in literature and cultural studies that provides comprehensive knowledge of modern Greek language and literature as well as the respective historical and socio-cultural context - including a look back at the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. In the master's program, knowledge of the modern Greek is deepened, literary-scientific competence (based on examples from the modern Greek and medieval or early modern Greek literature) as well as literary and cultural-historical knowledge by independent analysis of exemplary texts, authors, eras and genres expanded.
