Program Overview

The master's program Slavistics offers the students the opportunity to deal with two Slavic languages or literatures from a linguistic or literary perspective. Languages can be Russian, Polish, Serbo-Croatian, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian or Czech. The first language must already be mastered, the second language can be relearned during studies (or existing knowledge deepened). Central objects of Slavic linguistics are the analysis of structures and functions of the selected Slavic languages in their oral as well as written manifestations. It also takes into account approaches of general language and cognitive science.
